LA HISTORIA DETRÁS DEL ANILLO
En lo alto del valle de Sar-e Sang, en el noreste de Afganistán, se encuentran montañas salpicadas de vetas de roca de color azul intenso. Esta piedra icónica, el lapislázuli, ha obsesionado a los seres humanos durante milenios. Antaño tan exclusivo, reservado a las máscaras funerarias de los faraones y a las puntas de los pinceles de los artistas más famosos del Renacimiento, el precio del lapislázuli igualó al precio del oro hasta la era industrial. Afganistán alberga el depósito de lapislázuli más grande del mundo.
Además de la cantidad pagada a los artesanos, otro 10% del valor de este producto se destina a la Fundación Turquoise Mountain. Turquoise Mountain apoya a los artesanos afganos brindándoles tres años de capacitación técnica, así como una gama completa de apoyo empresarial después de graduarse.

Returns
